Learning project of Ost colliery - in school and kindergarten !

On this page you can see photos of the kindergarten and school project of Ost colliery in the city of Hamm (Germany). The first part of the project takes place in the corresponding schools and kindergartens. Photos of these actions can be found on this page. During the lessons in the kindergartens and schools the children get the basic pieces of information, e.g. about mining in earlier times or about the technology used for producing the German hard coal or for using it for the generation of energy. On the last day of the projects the children visit Ost colliery's area at the surface. A large gallery of one of these guided tours can be found if you click here. If you want to know more about the project and its schedule, please click here. If you are interested in a tour like that, please contact Ost colliery in Hamm (Germany), the corresponding data can be found under "DSK collieries" in the menu bar on the left.
